# Linear Vesting Staking

BeatSwap’s staking model is designed around **linear vesting**, rather than traditional lock-up–based staking.\
The **combined amount of principal and rewards is distributed progressively over time** through a single vesting stream.

#### Reward Source & APR

* Reward Allocation: **Staking and Community Rewards**
* Annual Percentage Rate (APR): **9.8%**

#### Staking Mechanism

* When a user stakes BTX, the **total vesting amount**, including principal and APR-based rewards, is determined at the time of staking.
* The total amount is **linearly vested over one year on a per-second basis**.
* Vested amounts can be claimed at any time.

#### Example

* Staking Amount: **1,000 BTX**
* Applied APR: **9.8%**
* Total Vesting Amount: **1,098 BTX**
* Vesting Period: **365 days**
